Introduction
The Bibliothèque de Lille proposes an exceptional exhibition around Rameau : through the prism of philosophers, the treasure-trove of archives collected in the 19th century by Jacques-Joseph Marie Decroix, and documents on the performances of Rameau’s works in Lille and the myth of Castor and Pollux, a fascinating portrait of the composer emerges.
