Liesa Van der Aa, rising star of Flemish pop, an inventive violinist and highly sensitive singer, embraced the challenge of collaborating with
Tom Pauwels, the guitarist of Ictus, for an amazing rereading of music from America’s Deep South. Hints of the blues, songs of protest or exile  ... The composers Trapani (born 1980) and Polansky (1954) obtain here a result not witnessed since the Folk Songs of Luciano Berio: an homage to popular music bathed in respect, warmth and exceptional refinement.
