This moving Winterreisse, a true summit of the Lied, is performed by Matthias Goerne, whose rare artistry has made him one of today’s most vibrant interpreters of Schubert. Along with the music, living sketches and projected drawings by the visual artist William Kentridge compose a moving and intimate landscape of the utmost delicacy.
