Based on the novella by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw offers suspense worthy of Hitchcock and is the perfect opportunity for stage director Olivier Bénézech, with whom the Clef des Chants produced Menotti’s Medium in 2007, to explore once again the mysteries of the paranormal. This time he is collaborating with the musical director Jean-Luc Tingaud and the Orchestre-Atelier OstinatO, a formidable wellspring of young instrumentalists on the threshold of what are sure to be major careers.
Opera in two acts and prologue by Benjamin Britten (1913-1976).
