Mexican tenor Rolando
Villazòn - considered by many to
be the ?new Placido Domingo?
- singing for the first time from
the Baroque repertoire.

all the takings from this evening’s performance will be given to the twinning arrangement between lille’s chru hospital and the hospital in banda aceh. this humanitarian programme offers long-term support to the work of the indonesian hospital’s paediatric department which was destroyed by the tsunami in december 2004. this concert has been made possible thanks to the generous involvement of the soloists and musicians of le concert d’astrée during their sessions as they prepare for a recording (virgin classics).
