The visual art and stage work of
the South African artist William
Kentridge is based on an intense
alchemical blend of drawing
techniques, playing with shadows
and visual processes inspired by
the early days of cinematography.
For this great encounter with
Mozart’s last opera, he has created
a fantastic universe of
appearances and disappearances
which follow the contours of the
musical score. After the success of
Don Giovanni in 2004, the
Orchestre de Picardie and its
conductor Pascal Verrot will again
be playing the music. This Magic
Flute promises to take us on an
exhilarating journey to a world of
symbols, fantasy and
enchantment.
