Shooting to fame in 2000 with her victory at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth competition, this young Canadian contralto is blessed with impeccable technique and an irresistible temperament that offer intense moments in her concert appearances when she ends up being transported by her cheerfulness and imagination. In particular she will be performing two choice pieces by Robert Schumann.
