RECITAL
Convinced that "an hour on stage, with good acoustics, is better than hours of study", the young Polish baritone Tomasz Kumiega has had plenty of occasions to learn, since he has hardly stepped off the floorboards since his arrival in France, where for three years he has been a member of the academy of the Paris National Opera. We’ve seen him as Yamadori in Madame Butterfly, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, and Orpheus in Monteverdi. His generosity of spirit and warm timbre are every bit as remarkable in recital, with several lieders from the anthology.
