CHAMBER MUSIC
“What I seek is music that comes from the body”, wrote George Aperghis. A "concert piece on metaphysical clowning”, his Tingel, Tangel written for voice, accordion and the cimbalom is a key work of a major figure in music today. This surprising “anti-cabaret” is joined by the creations of three contemporary composers, for a concert designed as a sonic voyage, a passage between the gruff and the electronic, the familiar and the strange, the popular and the unexpected.
