ICTUS SOLOISTS: CONCERT WITH COMMENTARY

It has become something of a contemporary obsession to make music out of everything. A shell? Music. Dead leaves? Music. And these three bottles? Three types of music: to  caress, strike the outer surface, or modulate the breath across their neck. By setting her trio of bottles in a soft electronic casing, the composer Hanna Eimermacher creates a delicate vibration at the frontiers between “music” and “sonic art”.  As has become the tradition for Ictus in its Concerts with commentary, the work will be accompanied by an explanatory exposition and played twice.
