These were the days when jazz and swing from across the Atlantic caught the hearts and minds of the French after the Great War. The "Roaring Twenties" landed in France with the emancipation of women and the American musical comedy. The mezzo Donatienne Milpied, the baritone Vincent Vantyghem and the pianist Jacques Schab form a trio that brings back these “Roaring Twenties”, a festive and fantastic age in which frontiers blurred, and French composers such as Maurice Yvain, Raoul Moretti, Arthur Honegger and Francis Poulenc, to name but a few, drew deep inspiration from the likes of a George Gershwin or Cole Porter.
