A programme of arias and duos from operas to sip and savour, served with the rare verve of the luminous Romanian soprano Andreea Soare and the Polish baritone Tomasz Kumiega, both HSBC laureates of the Academy of Aix-en-Provence and participants in the Paris Opera’s Atelier lyrique. The first part is a recital entirely dedicated to Mozart, from Così fan tutte to Le nozze di Figaro and La finta semplice. The tone is set: the grand repertoire, all elegance and refinement. The second part never quits the summits, offering a varied bouquet of arias, from Bellini’s Puritans and Puccini’s La Boheme to Rachmaninov and Massenet.
