For this creation, the Korean choreographer and performer Eun-Me Ahn invites Korean women aged 60 to 90 years old to dance to the popular tunes of their youth. Their encounter with the dancers of her company has sparked a work that is both tender and electric, as if “their bodies are a history book of our country.”
In the press
“The Theatre de la Colline became an up-beat box with playful and creative lighting, rhythm, images, choreography and of course, dancers. And all that is compounded by the obvious joy, and a sense of freedom, of life.”
Rosslyn Hyams, RFI (France), 20 août 2014
