Versailles, its magnificent entertainments and extravagant pleasures, for you to enjoy for the length of an evening! Difficult to resist such an invitation from the soloists of the Concert d’Astrée, who for this occasion are taking over the entire Opera, from the Foyer to the Rotunda to the Grand Hall and beyond. An evening with a theme, with the plat de resistance Charpentier’s Les Plaisirs de Versailles, which brings to the stage the humour and frivolity of the Court, drawn between the enchantments of music, the charms of conversation, the delicacies of the table and the excitement of gaming. Small impromptu concerts with harpsichord, lute, or a few singers fill out the night with this choice selection of tasty royal treats – not to mention plenty of hot chocolate to enjoy throughout this carefree evening. More than a concert, this is a true feast for the senses, one that for a few precious hours will give you a taste of the finer things in courtly life. Warning: the return to reality may be difficult!
