Created from the intimate rapport between melody and the Italian language, the madrigal blossomed
in the 17th century under the pen of Monteverdi, who enhanced it with soli and instrumental
accompaniments. Such a refined art for expressing passions will be much in evidence at this concert devoted to the "great" madrigals for six or eight singers and conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm.
