DANIEL JEANNETEAU, STAGE DIRECTOR
A personal and sensitive perusal of collections in the company of the opera’s stage director

Daniel Jeanneteau, stage director
After studying in Strasbourg at Les Arts Decoratifs and the École du TNS, he met the stage director Claude Regy for whom he designed stage sets for some 15 years. He also worked with numerous stage directors and choreographers (Catherine Diverres, Jean-Claude Gallotta, Alain Ollivier, Nicolas Leriche, Jean-Baptiste Sastre, Trisha Brown, Jean-Francois Sivadier, Pascal Rambert…). Since 2001, and in parallel with his work as stage designer, he has devoted himself to the creation of his own shows, in collaboration with Marie-Christine Soma (Racine, Strindberg, Boulgakov, Sarah Kane, Martin Crimp, Labiche, Daniel Keene, Anja Hilling, Maurice Maeterlinck, Tennessee Williams).
Winner of the Grand prix du syndicat de la critique for four stage sets, he was a laureate of the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto in 1998, of the Villa Medicis Hors les Murs in Japan in 2002, associate stage director at the Theatre Gerard Philipe in Saint-Denis from 2002 to 2007, at La Colline with Marie-Christine Soma from 2009 to 2011, at the Maison de la Culture of Amiens since 2007. Artistic director of the Studio-Théâtre de Vitry from 2008 to 2016, he succeeded Pascal Rambert on 1 January 2017 as director of the T2G - Théâtre de Gennevilliers.
